Battuta
Battuta is a keyed country/region/city lookup API: register for a free 32-byte API key, then query country, region, or city resources with a 500-request cap enforced per key (higher volume requires contacting the operator directly). It's plain-HTTP only — a live HTTPS handshake against the same host fails outright — and returns no Access-Control-Allow-Origin header on any request, authenticated or not.

Auth quickstart
- Sign up with the provider to get an API key.
- Send it on every request as a header
Authorization: <key> - The exact header isn't documented — Authorization is a common default; confirm in the provider's docs.
Stored keyNo key stored
Your key is stored only in this browser (localStorage) and sent directly to the API — never to greatapis.
