Ghost
Ghost's Content API is a read-only, key-based JSON endpoint (?key={key}) safe for client-side use, exposing published posts, pages, tags, authors, and membership tiers with version pinning via an Accept-Version header. A separate Admin API supports full read/write access to posts, members, newsletters, and webhooks, authenticated by minting short-lived JWTs from an id:secret Admin key. The software itself is free, open-source, and self-hostable — Ghost(Pro) is the official hosted option, tiered from $18/month, but that price covers hosting and staff/member limits, not API access.
