ipapi.com is an apilayer-operated REST API for IP geolocation and reverse-IP lookup, returning JSON or XML. Every request needs an access_key — there is no key-free tier — and the free plan is capped at 5,000 total API requests before a paid subscription is required. No Access-Control-Allow-Origin header is returned, so browser-side calls need a backend proxy.
