Kraken
Kraken's REST API covers spot trading, funding, staking, and account management, with public market-data endpoints (ticker, order book, OHLC, trades) open to unauthenticated use and private trading endpoints requiring an API key plus HMAC-SHA512 request signing. A companion WebSocket API delivers real-time order-book and trade feeds for both public and private channels, all free to access beyond standard exchange trading fees.

Auth quickstart
- Sign up with the provider to get an API key.
- Send it on every request as a header
Authorization: <key> - The exact header isn't documented — Authorization is a common default; confirm in the provider's docs.
Your key is stored only in this browser (localStorage) and sent directly to the API — never to greatapis.
