mod.io is a cross-platform SDK and REST API that lets game studios bolt on user-generated mod support — uploads, versioning, dependencies, ratings, and monetization payouts — without building their own hosting and moderation stack. A live unauthenticated request against api.mod.io correctly returns a 401 pointing to the docs, and requests carry a wildcard Access-Control-Allow-Origin header; access is free for indie titles within rate limits, with paid white-label and marketplace-transaction tiers for larger studios.
