OpenSanctions aggregates 400+ government sanctions lists, PEP registries, and crime watchlists into one searchable, FollowTheMoney-formatted dataset for screening people and companies. The hosted screening API at api.opensanctions.org is the version most integrators call and is key-gated, billed per query after a 30-day trial; the underlying `yente` matching engine is open source and free to self-host if you'd rather run it keyless on your own infrastructure.
