MLB Records and Stats vs RacingHub

This entry documents MLB's own `statsapi.mlb.com` backend -- the same undocumented, keyless JSON API that powers MLB.com and its official apps -- covering teams, rosters, schedules, box scores, standings, and decades of historical stats, reverse-engineered and mirrored in the community `mlb-data-api-docs` reference. There's no official support or SLA since MLB never published it as a public product, but it has stayed stable and free for years. A live probe of the real host returned data with no API key and a wildcard `Access-Control-Allow-Origin`, resolving `cors: unknown -> yes` and correcting `https: false -> true` -- the stored `false` was stale, the host is https-only.

RacingHub is a Formula 1 statistics API spanning every season from 1950 to the present, exposing per-driver career records (wins, poles, podiums, points), race results, and analytical features like racecraft heatmaps and pit-stop strategy breakdowns, with official Python and JavaScript client libraries and an MCP server for querying the data conversationally. No API key is required -- a live keyless request to the real `racinghub.net/api/v1/drivers/...` backend returned genuine per-driver data (200) with a wildcard `Access-Control-Allow-Origin` header, resolving `cors: unknown -> yes`, though anonymous requests are rate-limited to 100/minute per the response headers.
