National Vulnerability Database vs UK Police

NIST's NVD API 2.0 is the government's canonical feed of CVE records, each enriched with CVSS scores, CPE product matches, CWE weakness types, and (where applicable) CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities flags. It's fully public and keyless, though a free API key lifts the rolling rate limit from 5 to 50 requests per 30 seconds, and NIST recommends polling by lastModStartDate/lastModEndDate rather than re-pulling the whole dataset. The stored URL pointed at a legacy JSON-feed changelog page; corrected to the current "Start Here" developer docs for the 2.0 REST API.

The UK Police API publishes crime, stop-and-search, and neighbourhood-policing data reported by the 43 territorial forces of England and Wales, going back to December 2010 for street-level crime. It's a keyless JSON REST API -- force listings, neighbourhood team info, individual crime and outcome records, geo-radius crime queries -- released under the Open Government Licence, so results can be reused (including commercially) with attribution. Anonymous requests are capped at 15 per second with a burst of 30 before a 429 kicks in, comfortably enough for the dashboards and research tools that already build on it.
