OpenSky Network
Crowdsourced ADS-B and Mode S air-traffic network run by a Swiss non-profit since 2013, combining feeds from thousands of volunteer ground receivers into live and historical state-vector data for research use. The REST API accepts anonymous requests within a daily credit quota, while an OAuth2-registered account (and verified feeder or research-institution status) unlocks a higher quota and up to an hour of history; the provider explicitly blocks traffic from AWS and other cloud/hyperscaler IP ranges to curb abuse.
